The infamous musical 1965 film Sound of Music is coming to Eden Court on the 16th of April to mark the 50th anniversary of the film's release.
Starring Julie Andrews (Oscar award winning actress of Disney's Mary Poppins the year before The Sound of Music) and Christopher Plummer (who has played in Star Trek and National Treasure) this film is as good as it was when it first came to the screens.
Andrews plays the character Maria, a lady learning to become a nun, who goes to the Von Trapp family to look after seven children and helps bring music to soften Captain Von Trapp (Plummer), however the Anschluss is hovering over their happiness in Salzburg, Austria.
