Sweeney Todd and Maria Marten - Review

09/12
The first night was, I believe, a great night.  After a hectic afternoon of rehearsals on Sunday (in which Maria Marten (which I am in) didn't get a run through) we managed to do a full run through before the play started at 8pm with an audience watching.  In Maria Marten, my character called Tim, holds the "skellington" of Maria Marten in the Old Red Barn where her murder takes place, the only problem was that until the night I didn't have a skeleton to work with and when I did, I was told to be careful and that it isn't Eden Court's but the College's after the run through before the performance.  We, the cast of Maria Marten, are happy with what we've done and we are ready to do at again.
One night down - two to go.

10/12
The second night was just as fantastic as the first.  We went over a couple of points at the start of the play before we went to the dressing rooms and started getting ready for the second night of performance.  We got a few more giggles from the audience this night than the previous night.  We are all happy with the result and we are ready for the final performance.
Just one night to go now.

11/12
The final was the best night.  Everyone was laughing or giggling as we performed for them.
At the end of the perform, William Corder, the villain of the story, gets hanged for his crimes and when the Hangman took Corder's hat off, it ended up the audience, but Tom Masterton (who played Corder) got his hat back for when we did out bows (or curtic (and I know that this is not the correct word) by the ladies in their dresses).  After we (the cast of Maria Marten) were finished and were out of our costumes we went to see Sweeney Todd and I couldn't believe of how good it was, even I was laughing at the funny scenes.  The Sweeney Todd group were very good.
It's hard to believe that it's all over now.  Now we have to wonder what we are doing next year.  Till then, see ya.
