Review of Ocean's 8

I went to see Ocean's 8 today, and I enjoyed the film.

The film's all female cast is certainly what most films lack as most films today are usually lead by a male cast, just as the Ocean's Trilogy did.  It was a nice surprise to see Elliot Gould appear along with the mention of Danny Ocean and short reprisal of "The Amazing" Yen.  The film's fast pace, non-linear storyline and the odd joke here and there, such as Cate Blanchett's nationality and John Frazier trying to a French's character's name, kept me looking forward to see what was going to come next.  When it was explained how the events turned out, I enjoyed how the target of the job was sorted and how robbery proved to be bigger than hinted.

After all the cameos during the film, Serena Williams and Alexander Wang and many more, one could argue that Anne Hathaway cameos as herself towards the end when her fictional character Daphne Kluger's "after the events' story" is played out.

A good light weight entertainment and a worthy successor of Ocean's Trilogy, I look forward to see it again.

I hope that you will come, see and enjoy at Eden Court.
