The Pantomime returns to Eden Court for full month in the form of the infamous story of Aladdin. In the story Aladdin is a poor boy who believes that his dreams will never come true, meanwhile, with a law only a prince can marry a princess, an evil character called Abanazar plots his next move.
I saw a familiar version many years ago, before Eden Court was rebuilt I am sure, because one of the characters (Aladdin's brother/sister) was called Wishee Washee and there was two idiot policemen and it was all great to see.
The first night is Tuesday the 2nd and the last performance is on Sunday the 4th of January. The days the Panto is not on is Monday the 8th, Tuesday the 9th, Tuesday the 16th, Wednesday the 17th, Thursday the 25th of December (Christmas Day) and Thursday the 1st of January (New Year's Day).
There is a matinee performance in the early afternoons from Thursday the 4th of December starting at 1.30pm (2.15pm on Monday the 22nd, Tuesday the 23rd, Friday the 26th, Saturday the 27th of December and Saturday the 3rd of January (with BSL Interpreted and Audio Described on this date).
The evening performance starts at 7.00pm (5.00pm on Saturday the 6th, Sunday the 7th, Saturday the 13th (with Captions), Sunday the 14th, Saturday the 20th, Sunday the 21st, Wednesday the 24th, Sunday the 28th, Monday the 29th, Tuesday the 30th, Wednesday the 31st of December, Friday the 2nd and Sunday the 4th of January.
Tickets for the matinee performance on Thursday the 4th of December is £13.00 along with the evening performances on Tuesday the 2nd, Wednesday the 3rd, Thursday the 4th and Thursday the 11th of December. Any other performances are £16.50.
